Island Booth at the Market, 21 June 201421 Jun 2014 The peak season for the island has now started. Large groups of families and friends came to visit this morning, keeping us busy arranging our various-height stools. Athletes are arriving for the Oceania Athletics Championships; plus we had a return visit from our dental interns. Elsewhere in the market, the first crop of sweetcorn has been harvested, but there’s little nita or tomati to be found.

Island Booth at the Market, 31 Aug 201331 Aug 2013 We’re currently travelling in convoy to the markets - IB1 (our van) carries the booth + Aroko. IB2 (our scooter) carries Andy. IB1 missed the rain, IB2 got a cloudburst just out of Matavera, however the weather was still clear in town. It took a while for market-goers to turn up this morning. Fortunately a large family group on the rock for a wedding created their own IB family tree. We had some first-time boothers who found out about us on Facebook :). We also some last-minute pix in time for Father’s Day.

Bob’s 60th6 Dec 2012 It wouldn’t be a Flanagan family celebration without the booth – so after the surprise party, fire-dancing, umu and cake cutting it was time for island pix. Of course, a few boothers have had a little more practise than others… ;).

Island Booth at the Market, 21 Apr 201221 Apr 2012 A sleepy crowd at the market today. A few visitors collecting last-minute souvenirs and waiting for connecting flights dropped by. We said farewell to Rosie-May (‘*not* Rosemary’), and her sister who are preparing to relocate to Auckland. We also welcomed back to the booth a number of the young dancers who feature in one of our jumbo-sized photo strips. Featured pose of the day - the ever popular - [ I ] [ ♥ ] [ U ].
