Island Booth at the Market, 25 Oct 201425 Oct 2014 Today was another scorcher. We had to get to the playground early - before the slides heated-up. The new water fountain helped cool Aroko down, then back to check on the booth. Plenty of locals came to visit us, bringing new friends, visiting family and pepes for quik shots. We also commemorated a significant birthday, family holidays, and a honeymoon.

Island Booth at the Market, 18 Oct 201418 Oct 2014 The weather was defn. Spring-y today. Rain. Sun. Rainbows. Repeat. We caught up with Nikki and Kyle, here to celebrate their first anniversary (seems like just yesterday…). Visiting cousins and friends underwent booth basic training, and unwilling spouses took their shots. Aroko got a moko tattoo, went to the playground and watched a bit of the show, feat. some of our regular boothers. CU next week.

Island Booth at the Market, 11 Oct 201411 Oct 2014 Plenty of time to sight-see at the market this morning. Foraged for our weekly fruit and veg., picked up a savoury pastry from the Dearloves: spinach, feta and mozzarella (but missed out on the sausage rolls again). Met a family here for an unveiling and convinced them to bring the younger members along to tonight’s Rotaract Junior Spring Ball. With only minutes to spare, took visiting friends on a guided tour of the market, ‘top-spots’. Then a quick(ish) pack down and relocation to the Aotearoa Centre…

Rotaract Junior Spring Ball 2014 - Candy Land11 Oct 2014 …It was a mad dash for us from the Saturday market, to set up in Tupapa, back to Matavera for a costume change, and town again for the 5pm start. Aroko came along in a Wonkeresque outfit, but we had to throw up the bat signal and request an evac. from aunty early on.
This year we were helping Rotaract fundraise for nebulisers, destined for the Pa Enua.
‘Candy Land’ was the theme, and there were some awesome costumes on show. Rotaract put on an evening of activities, dancing, (+ some candy). We added a few extra props and boothers grabbed some of the hall decorations to add some extra pop to the strips.
Photo reprints and enlargements are available (for a limited time), from the booth at Punanga Nui Market, Saturday morning.

Plus messages for absent family and friends, BFFs, holiday shots, and few more pix for our fridge. No more pineapple for a bit, but picked up some sunrise paw-paw / papaya / nita. Yom.

Tereora College Senior Ball 2014, Part 3/34 Oct 2014 ... Floor fillers included All About That Bass and Anaconda, with the occasional drum dance beat added to the mix. The booth, with a handy bench and cool breeze, provided a welcome chill zone, our props inspiring some awesome shots.
Meitaki to Jess, May and the rest of the crew for making us part of such a great event.

Apii Te Uki Ou Gala 20143 Oct 2014 We were stoked to be invited back to the Apii Te Uki Ou Gala to help fundraise this year. The afternoon started with a whale sighting just off the coast as the school is not far from the reef. Activities included a horizontal bungy, haunted house, face painting, a monster garage sale, and rides on the fire engine. The theme was ‘rainbow’ so we picked a suitably bright backdrop and added a few props to the mix.
Meitaki to Jade, Elke and Rosie who helped wrangle Aroko while we set-up.
Reprints and enlargements (blow-ups) can be purchased from us at the Saturday market.
